I love taking college economics....dont get the wrong impression, I am republican in most aspects. But this video brings to light so many things that are difficult to understand using simple common sense. You really cant think too literally about money unfortunately. The whole monetary concept is not set in stone, its all promises. Even in banks, of all the money deposited the bank only has to keep 10% and floats the other 90% if they want to. Really your money isnt in there. And the money they loan out is all floating money from what you put in, not money they really have. lol. And when we use debit cards and checks, its not real money because the money isnt really in your account because the bank has it elsewhere lol, its in someone elses hands. So really, just by having money in the bank, you are helping grow the economy. Now the whole debt ceiling is stupid. We are in debt to ourselves because we spend more than we make.... think about that. Why would it ever be a problem, when the only way its a problem is when we stop raising it, and then cant pay for services the government needed and has promised to pay for. Government spending is a third of the whole economy. But its done with one part taxes, one part fake money? lol.
