I love the movie The Godfather. I watched it last night for about the 100th time on Cinemax in HD. The movie came out in 1972 when I was a student at TCU. The Godfather is widely regarded as one of the greatest films in world cinema -- and as one of the most influential, especially in the gangster genre. Ranked second to Citizen Kane by the American Film Institute in 2007, it was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry in 1990. The most powerful scene in the movie is the baptism scene where gangster Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) stands godfather at his nephews baptism. While the baptism is in progress, Michael is having his rivals murdered. Its a brilliant scene showing the contrast between good and evil. This is the scene: https://youtube/watch?v=1CDlBLvc3YE
