I love this time of year.....I get the opportunity to participate in Simulated Congressional Hearings (SCH) at the Howard County elementary schools. The 5th graders study the US Constitution and present testimony and respond to questions from community leaders. All of the HCPSS elementary schools hold SCHs and I have been very fortunate to be able to participate in many of them. Last week, I was at Forest Ridge ES and Veterans ES. This week, I have been at Clemens Crossing ES and Pointers Run ES. This morning, I will be at Centennial Lane ES. It is great to hear the students discussing the Constitution and the rights and responsibilities of being a citizen.
