I love this time of year. Ive gotten rid of a majority of the old clothes and pieces of junk and outdated papers and forms/mags and medicines (would never take acne medicine now! I found out it was an allergic reaction my body needed to pay attention to, not send deeper into the body via pharmaceuticals)...I am still clearing it out, this is an ongoing process. It is a process of coming into clarity about ones life, learning to be strong, recognizing when things have not served their purpose and it is better to let go -- also it is a process of finding out who one really is, who we are! How we live life. I have changed and grown so much, and how, and this isnt my reality anymore - this isnt me. Restructuring stories, belief systems, patterns. To let go, it is a profound act, really. One of the most difficult to conceive of doing and yet when we allow ourselves the process, it becomes so transcendent. We are in a new arena of thought. We know to rely on ourselves - to trust ourselves - to receive the next task that is more formidable to our growth. I included this picture of the furniture from GoodWood DC because it reminds me of the flea markets in Nantes where I would meander my first fall there and I had literally nothing. None of my own furniture, negative money...Just a few European coins, a calling card, clothing...This kind of thing. Recycled furniture reminds me of having enough, comfort in the passage of time, new beginnings, the Dead, our ancestors, human lineage...But mainly that there is always just enough, everything just right, everything that we need here in this moment to transcend our fear and begin our Journey of the Fool. Trust yourself and let go. With Love, LM
