I love tournaments and scenarios, but I still enjoy recball, too. I like playing spools and castles and western towns as long as its with an appropriate crowd. One complaint I have is that too many fields run the same old games over and over. Slap stick, run the bomb, and the old dreadful team elimination have been played out. Field owners need to step it up and get creative! Today I got to meet a field owner who has done just that. Kyle at Glory Paintball in League City has concocted the most intricate and creative recball games I have ever seen. As an infantry instructor in the Marines who still conducts training, he incorporates all kinds of realistic training scenarios into his games, including disarming and searching civilians in a changing environment, moving respawn points, and concrete-filled supply boxes. On top of that, he is a super cool guy who interacted with us on and off the field all day, joking with us, even taking us through real shooting drills and room clearing techniques. I have played a lot of recball at a lot of fields, and I was beyond impressed. Glory Paintball is a really unique field, and I cant wait to see the rest of Kyles plans come to fruition.
