I love when teamwork goes just right! At 11:00 on Friday I got a message that Laurel Co Humane Society was full and dogs would die at noon. Amy and Anne were on that list. Something about Anne caught my eye (could be that she shares a name with my daughter!) and I told them I could pull her if she got along with other dogs. I was told that she came in with Amy and was housed with her. Well, how could I take just one? So I sent the message that I would take both. Deann, Shelby and Lana came together and within an hour a plan came together to move them from the shelter to Lawrenceburg. It wasnt until Deann arrived at the shelter that I found out how scared they were. But Camp Jean loves underdogs so bring them on. When the girls arrived here Amy wanted out of crate so I opened the door and out she came, ready to make herself at home. Anne spent the night in the crate, she opted to stay in, but spent the rest of the weekend loose in the house. Today they are playing with the other dogs and snuggling in the bed at night. Anne is still scared, but is coming around. They will be here for 2 weeks before going up for adoption. This gives us time to evaluate them, have them spayed, and brought up to date on vaccines. In the meantime, they need new names and donations to help cover their vetting.
