I love you unconditionally, with the condition you give me money and do exactly as I say, otherwise forget you, I want you to suffer. Any person acting like this would wind up with a restraining order against them, yet this is exactly how the chief deity of 3 major religions is described. Coercion, fear, and guilt tripping, mixed with a little sweet talk every now and then. Sounds very much like a pimp, which is perhaps why so many of them do well in pulpits.
