I made a return trip to meet with Ricky Bryant at Bryant’s - TopicsExpress

I made a return trip to meet with Ricky Bryant at Bryant’s Machine Shop (BMS) in order to review some of the work being done to start production on BMS AR-15 Rifles and BMS Suppressors, after attending the New Product Unveiling on June 4. Nonnie Selman and I met Ricky about 6:45 p.m. last night and reviewed some of the AR-15 rifles and suppressors that Ricky has been working diligently on, and his attention to detail and precision machining is amazing. Ricky is really cognizant of what customers and end users of suppressors and AR-15 rifles are relaying to him as features they like or don’t like as well as suggestions in how to make improvements in order to produce a quality product with professional fit and finish. Selman and I had completed a 30 day tour of depredation hunting at night, my 4th year of animal control shooting and having progressed from using unsuppressed rifles and white light to using night vision and suppressed rifles last year and this year our team added thermal scopes. I explained my surprise at how little recoil is present while using a suppressor for two days shooting a precision rifle course at Tac Pro, west of Fort Worth in April and how I have seen a huge surge in the use of suppressors for hunting and in depredation work across the state for hogs, beaver, coyotes, and deer. Ricky is working on a new innovation of a AR15 rifle that has a suppressor welded to the 9 ½ inch barrel so that the overall barrel and suppressor length is 16 ¼ inches, therefore the rifle is not a Short Barrel Rifle (SBR). Therefore the requirement for SBR owners to notify the ATF before crossing state lines is eliminated and it is merely a suppressed rifle with a legal 16 inch length barrel. The handguard is unique and solidly built. The one thing that has impressed me most is his attention to quality, durability, and precision. I believe as more people become aware of the many calibers and bullet selections available for AR-15’s, such as .223/5.56, 6.8 SPC II, 6.5 Grendel, 300 Blackout, 6x45, 9mm and a host of others, they will begin to realize the usefulness of the AR platform for deer and hog hunting as well as suppressed fire to protect their hearing and not disturbing their neighbors, versus the television image of assassins, mobsters, and criminal use. It’s actually considered disrespectful in some European countries to not use a suppressor. BMS has a new laser engraver ready to engrave logos or even your name, city and state for Short Barrel Rifles as well as all of the CNC mills and lathe equipment necessary to make some of the finest suppressors and AR-15’s available. Give Ricky a call at 601-992-1907 Work, 601-668-8700 5734 Cell, or make an appointment to visit him at Bryants Machine Shop, 5734 Hwy 80 West, Jackson, Mississippi near the Clinton city limits.
