I made the mistake of liking someone elses post, so my number of things people probably dont know about me is 10 ... 1) I was almost kicked out of college my senior year for publishing a highly offensive April Fools edition of the campus paper, the Probe. I kept the letters between the President and head of campus security for years as treasured souvenirs. 2) I lived with the nickname Hog for 10 years in NP Idaho thanks to someone who saw my last name in second grade and thought it was Warthog (actually my moms maiden name!). 3) I personally peed on the Pentagon building at least 75 times while waiting for commuter buses to downtown Arlington following happy hours. DoD police cut all trees on that side of the building up 6 feet and regularly drove by with floodlights to catch that guy, but never did. 4) As a consultant I have written the equivalent of 80+ books and 30,000 pages of client reports over the past nine years. 5) As a movie extra Ive met Tim Burton, Milos Forman, James Cromwell, Courtney Love, and blew 3 hours BS-ing with Woody Harrelson while he was stuck in a wheelchair next to me filming People vs. Larry Flynt. 6) I attended UMCP on a Presidential Fellowship to start my PhD but dropped out primarily due to being attacked in my bed one night by a roommate with a knife and a grudge. I finished at George Mason where two of my professors won Nobel prizes and a third just wrote the Time cover story last week. 7) I co-founded a dot-com in the late 90s that actually survived. My first boss there was Dick Nixons Press Secretary, and my last boss was Bush Srs former Chief of Staff. 8) I was married in what is supposed to be the oldest academic building in America (Wren Chapel in Williamsburg). 9) As a marathon runner, I beat 2:50 in three races, in Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Marine Corps. 10) Several of my grandparents were born in Russia although my mom always cussed at me as a kid in German (?). Plus I have incriminating pictures being dressed up as a girl, since she never had a daughter despite many attempts. Victoria says I have to do three more as a bonus round: 11) I was recruited for the CIA but dropped out due my personal drug history and having gone AWOL just before ROTC one summer in college. Later my father in law (station chief in Vietnam for many years and author of at least one book on the subject) and brother in law (until recently, high senior management) assured me I would have been fine, since I was never a dealer. 12) In my first trip overseas working for an NGO I was almost carted off by a mob of 200 guys in Sri Lanka pissed to see a white guy involved in a traffic accident involving a three-wheeled cab and an elephant. 13) I raised $250 million for charity during my years as a fundraiser.
