I may be alone in this, but after scrolling my timeline last night and this morning, I feel the need to stick up for the PennDOT and City of Erie plow drivers. The trucks WERE out yesterday (I saw some with my own eyes!) however with the way that snow was coming down....it was like eating Oreos while brushing ones teeth for the plows to get the roads cleaned off. Yes, it took me forever to get to my destination. Yes, it was frustrating because the roads were slushy and covered and some were rutted as the slush was freezing. BUT - - there are only so many trucks and they can only be on so many roads at once. And there were even some that were stuck behind accidents like regular vehicles were. AND my drive to work this morning was excellent. The roads had been cleared (even my street which *rarely* sees a plow) and Rt. 20 was even mostly dry! So KUDOS to our plow drivers (and mechanics behind the scenes) for cleaning up after the big snowfall. And thank you! :D
