I met a Ghanaian here yesterday, and when i told him im from Nigeria he was so excited and with nostalgia he told me of his years in Nigeria as far back as 1979. When i told him i am from Ede in osun state, then i saw the moist in his eyes;he was once a cobbler at Ede and then Nigeria was like Europe to them. The economy was sound and they made more than enough and take back home. He said Nigeria was the envy of all and the naira was stronger than the dollar. He asked me,if the bad leaders have not ruined Nigeria,what will he be doing here in Europe? I bowed my head in pains for this Paradox called Nigeria! When i read or hear of them been referred to as their excellencies i almost feel tempted to go back and consult my dictionary. What is excellent about them? Stealing, abuse of power,rigging,globe trotting,immorality....…..Well, i bother less about them because they are product of our civil tolerance and ignorance. The dictates of the destiny of this nation is not confined to the books of the law governing our corporate existence, its defined by the extent to which we go to make a discovery of the essence of our identity as Nigerians,for us to embark on the painful process of recovery of our lost Glory. For without a Discovery, there can never be a Recovery...........I RISE!!!
