I met a fellow Navy Shipmate who just returned from Afghanistan yesterday at the Navy base in Miami. There was no ticker tape parade, no honors, he just checked into the base and our Shipmates told him, Welcome Back. I can readily relate to this experience including others like he and I. Its not the expectation of any reward, just decent treatment when we apply for jobs instead of being told we are NOT good enough. A military member has more moral fiber, integrity, honor, commitment, and experience than over half of those that have never served, so give your Veterans a chance!!!
