I met a stranger for the second time today at Caribou whom I had - TopicsExpress

I met a stranger for the second time today at Caribou whom I had helped out a month ago. His house got broken into while he was out spending the 4th of July. He seemed nervous when he approached me about helping him out again and I felt so bad for him. I am not the kind of person who helps strangers because you never know what they are capable of. Growing up, you are told by your parents not to talk to strangers and I dont blame them. When someone needs your help, dont tell them you cant help them out because you need to buy weed. REALLY? He has a step daughter who has run out of diapers and her only pair of shoes were stolen and all he could think of was how he was going to get food for his family. So I decided to go to the ATM and get him some money. And I tell you....the reaction on his face.....priceless. He didnt see that coming. This brother was holding back his tears because he kept praying for someone to walk into that door of Caribou and answer his prayers. After that he said, thanks for everything and he gave me a hug. The fact that I could show kindness to a stranger makes me incredibly happy and wonderful and i didnt regret anything because it came from my heart. See, karma could be good and bad when it wants to be. And I want to thank the ones who gave me a helping hand while I was in college because being broke sucks. You taught me that kindness, love, and compassion for one another are the most amazing qualities that will take you far in life. A good friend of mine told me to pass it on. And guess who did that today..... Andy Asong-Morfaw. The more you give, the more you receive. You might think that the help you gave to someone might be little but to another it is ALOT. Stay blessed my friends. You never know what tomorrow holds I tell ya. Never stop being kind to one another and dont take anything for granted I beg of you.
