I met the most remarkable woman at the Tigers game on July 4th. Debi was diagnosed with ALS in 2005. Her progression was very rapid, had a trach placed,lost her ability to speak, and almost in a wheelchair. She had a bacolfen pump implanted, she regained her speech although a little raspy, trach was removed, and walks almost normal! She left me with these words of advice, I have ALS, ALS doesnt have me!
