I met this extraordinary woman - Marian Seldes - when I understudied WELL on Broadway. She loved the show so much that she visited our run throughs and dresses and thus I was an audience member with her during those times. I met her again when my company Coyote REP Theatre Company hosted the Drama Desk Awards and reintroduced myself. She recognized me and, as she was known to do, took my hands with warmth and lamented on WELLs early closing and what a gift Lisa Krons play was. She looked me in the eyes and told me that she knew that I would have a long life in the theater. God bless this woman. Between her, the extraordinary Geoffrey Holder, Joan Rivers and Robin Williams heaven is putting on a helluva show!
