I might get some deletes on what Im about to share. Yall might even decide to revoke my blackness.....but do I look like I care????? __________________________ Heres the thing... Feb is Black History Month, right? What happens on March 1? What happens the other 11 months? No wonder the kids are so confused....they find their identity in February nd then its over. Its the shortest month of the year too. Who did that? Listen, Im okay with celebrating ppl who have made a difference -black/white/alien/ET ....... But dang it, what if white ppl started celebrating a month of slavery....or some other milestone....would they get 2months nd then we would have to counter, right? I mean, who are we reminding nd about what? We want to be one race nd yet we continue to compete against each other. Like one race is better than the other. All this interracial going on....you know its not about race anymore but more about skin color. Maybe if we were in some African country nd celebrate black history, but then there would be no need for that right?! Listen, by now the whole World knows that the black race has contributed mightily to the human race nd if they dont, then a month isnt going to change that. Lets move forward by teaching our children about the contributions that were made to make a difference....how many are doing this? But Im sure you will be ready to jump at me for posting about Black History Month. Teach your children to love all races. Love, not sleep with....theres a difference. The more we go forward, the father back we find ourselves. Please, lets not go back to slavery. Right now the amount of black ppl behind bars is disgusting. Do something about that. Ive got a few DOABLE solutions. Now, what are we celebrating this month?? Maybe this year we can teach our youngsters how to appreciate life nd respect each other. Its not the color of the skin, but the condition of our hearts that fails us. I could say more but I dont think you want to change. Have a good one! #STANDING Ps: what our forefathers did for us...... They expected us to do more. I think we just accepted that nd did no more.... Maybe less at times. Its like inheriting a house....move in nd although you are not pulling it apart, by not up keeping, it will fall apart. We have to keep moving forward. Build nd maintain is the only way.
