I might honestly cry with joy if Gordon gets off this. Latest update from ESPN... Gordon (suspension) and his legal team will argue in Fridays hearing with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell that Gordon has disputed test results that were caused from second-hand marijuana smoke, ESPN reports. Spin: Gordon is currently facing a season-long suspension for a positive test for marijuana, but is appealing the ruling on the grounds of his positive test being so marginal that it raises uncertainty of the actual result. Further, Gordons legal team will argue that even if he produced a positive test result, it stemmed from exposure to second-hand smoke. According to the report, Gordons A sample tested one nanogram per milliliter above the threshold, while his B sample tested lower than the same threshold. As such, the results were not consistent and can thus be disputed, especially since one sample was barely above the threshold, which studies have shown can come from breathing second-hand smoke. Since the league has maintained it does not suspend players for second-hand smoke, Gordon seemingly stands a decent chance at winning his appeal. While the legal situation will unfold this weekend, Gordon may be close to being out of the woods, as hed be an elite option at wide receiver should his suspension be lifted.
