I miss how I used to feel about being an American in the 1980s. - TopicsExpress

I miss how I used to feel about being an American in the 1980s. We knew we were a Christian country, we spread love as a concerted effort like the song below, and “We are the World!” that followed shortly thereafter. We were a country led by a great Christian man in Ronald Reagan that rarely had to deploy our troops in battle but rather led by principle. The eternal truth of man’s freedom (God’s Law) is what brought down the Berlin wall without a shot being fired. What has happened to us as a country? Aren’t we ashamed of who we have become today? We’ve been on the decline for at least 50 years now. Isn’t it time that cool becomes an entrepreneurial, freedom loving Christian? Christ was a revolutionary, George Washington was a revolutionary, Martin Luther King, Jr. was a revolutionary, all of them empowered others to rule themselves. These men were rightly celebrated in this country and we all knew why! Is our government empowering us today? Are we empowering ourselves? The great gift of freedom and opportunity in this country unleashed the imagination and work ethic of the American people. Is our government encouraging that or restricting it today? Think about how wonderful it would be to see the famous stars of today band together in song with a message like the one below again, for this to be the tone of our country again. This country always looked to God in the past, Nature’s God that mirrors the Christian teachings and hence a majority of Americans considering themselves Christian. It’s time we rediscover the Bible and the Constitution. It’s time to rediscover ourselves! youtu.be/nRxZAkTwNo4
