I must VENT...Walgreens has to be the least customer friendly, inept pharmacy known to man. I have given them chance after chance to get it right. Today was the last straw. Bailey requires a life saving hormone called INSULIN to survive. She takes insulin by injection several times a day because her body doesnt produce it. Last month when we went to pic up her script they told us her prescription ran out. Walgreens failed to contact the drs office for a refill when the Rx was used up and failed to notify us it was the last one. Luckily there was an old Rx on file and she was able to get insulin. That was a month ago. Walgreens has had a month to contact to Drs office for a refill and didnt. Today she is without insulin again due to Walgreens incompetence. And thats only part of it. Bailey has 2 insurances. The second one requires prior authorization. They have NEVER obtained the PA so every month I tell them to forget it and I pay the difference instead of billing the second insurance. Today I am switching pharmacies. Anything has got to be better than Walgreens. Please say a prayer as we try to get through the weekend without her insulin. More than likely we will be in the Emergency Room before the weekend is over thanks to the Walgreens located on Hwy 70 in Bellevue, TN. Please feel free to share this post.
