I must admit that I really enjoy reading about all of the social events that all of my face book friends are attending and having the time of their lives. For the time being, through your eyes, I am envisioning myself at the parties, gatherings, etc. having a good time right along with you. I especially enjoyed seeing the pictures of some of my colleagues having a great time at a local restaurant celebrating someones birthday or some other such soiree. Im aware that one or two of the people who host these gatherings dont consider me A list material and thus, I am shut out , regardless of the circumstances. Yes, I envisioned myself laughing and talking with many of the people at this gathering but, you know, when I was visiting Douglas at the rehab yesterday, this lady with Alzheimers disease was sitting in a wheelchair positioned in the hallway outside Douglas room. She called me over and invited me to a party for her daughters (aka dolls). this lady was so happy about how gentle I was when I held her children. I guess, in some ways, this is just as good as having a whirlwind social life.
