I must interrupt from my story to update you as to the proceedings - TopicsExpress

I must interrupt from my story to update you as to the proceedings of yesterday and today. On December 30, 2014, Greg Meyers attempted to haul a truck and trailer through the family land of my siblings Allison Westby Rado and Dorothy Bryant and children. Allisons property is located at the road and has begun construction and a fence and gate to her property. I attempted to inform Mr. Meyers that he had no authorization from Allison to pass through her land. He said he had authorization from the village council and one of my nephews, who owns no land in Placencia ,to do so. Allison phoned Ilsa Villanueva from New York instructing her that she had not given Meyers or any others outside her immediate family to pass through her property. Ilsa spoke to the Placencia police regarding the matter resulting in requesting that Meyers get off the property and not to pass through it again. Attached you will see a plat map of the family land. As you can see there is no easement through this property. The closest easement to the Placencia sidewalk is the easement marked Westby. Yesterday, after loading lumber on to my trailer, which I had stored on my sister Dorothys yard ,my trucks stalled in Allisons yard, so I left it there for the night. Today is a rainy day, not conductive to working on a truck. During the night, Mr. Meyers brought his trailer through Allisons yard and is parked on Dorothys lot. Meyers phoned the police to have me move my truck, and Ilsa failed to support the verbal instructions of my sister. Today the police gave me a ticket for causing unnecessary obstruction and obstructing the free flow of traffic while my vehicle is parked in my sisters yard. The Village Council was dumfounded and could not differentiate between an open gate or an invitation to through traffic on private property. There is no flow of vehicular traffic through a parcel of private property! Over the years we have posted signage that this is private land, no access, no trespassing, no parking; and constantly these signs are taken down by the villagers. The police are now ignoring the rights of private land owners and assuming that anyone can flow through anyones property. I urge all land owners to fence and gate in their properties to protect themselves. Also, to an prospective land purchaser, check with the department of lands to find the legal easements near the land you are considering. Do not believe a real estate agent - they want to make a sale, not protect you; nor the word of mouth of those surrounding you. I notice on the ticket they did not give me a Court Date, because I will fight this ticket instead of pay an unjust fine. Is this the hand of Roe forcing the Village Council and the Police Dept. to ignore private property to get to the land the Supreme Court granted him? Quite foolish of someone to purportedly purchase land with no access, isnt it.
