I must share with you my first experience at Mt Hope Hospital today. I was greeted with pleasant faces and smiles. I entered the clinic and was greeted by a nurse who later addressed all the people and explain what goes on and why they had to wait until eight o clock. Then she asked for someone to say a pray for our country and for fellow patients. I could not believe what was happening, I am in Trinidad at Mt Hope where everybody always cussing? I got first world treatment like all of the other patients. Nurses were helping the older patients move around. This can’t be true, what a turn around! - This is a comment I got recently from someone an din response I told them that NO Health Minister, Prime Minister or Government could be responsible for the attitude and behavior of medical officers. Simple things like being polite, patient and considerate is not something the Government is responsible for. We need to treat people the way we would like to be treated and more so in dire circumstances. I commend the medical staff at Mt Hope for doing such a wonderful job.
