I need some advice!!! I had been with NC BCBS Ins. for 16 years, with no major claims, until They decided to cancel my insurance. As of Jan.1, 2015 I have insurance with another company. Today I received a bill from NC BCBS due to the fact they had not charged me enough on a prescription drug on July, 28, 2014. The amount I owe them is $.01. Yes, your vision is correct, that is one penny, that I owe them!!!! They probably paid someone $ 20.00 an hour to dig this up and then type me a full blown explanation letter, 2 pages long, forty four cents mailing fee, and a return bright yellow envelope, pre-stamped, for my payment of one penny. All due to Government Requirements and Regulations, quote per their letter. Should I write them a check so I will have proof of payment, or should I send them a penny taped to their required return receipt??? Maybe, your thoughts will help me understand such stupendous reasoning.
