I need some advice and tips from my fellow citizens. I reported a leak problem to my landlord on Dec. 7th and yes its recorded. She has done nothing to fix the issue and my children and I have been sick for a while now with respiratory illnesses and allergy illnesses. We have documented hospital papers. Now, I go in the closet where the leak was happening and theres black mold all over my wall and base boards. I reported that to her as well and documented it as well. She sends someone that lives in the same apartments as me to come clean it off the wall and to tell me that theres no leak problems any where. And shes not responding to me now. What should i do? People have told me the health department and code enforcement wont do anything. And I cant afford to fix it myself or to move. And Im afraid shes going to evict me if I take her to court for some other reason. Please help.
