I need some guidance please! Im new to cast iron - although Ive always wanted one, it took me 43 years to FINALLY get to start cooking with one (we now have 3). Anyway, a friend of mine brought a neglected Lodge to me after learning that I discovered how to use an e-tank (thanks to yall!) It was in really bad shape. I let it go for 24 hours in the e-tank and it seemed to do a lot of good. There was a thin layer of what seemed like rust dust on the skillet so I soaked it for 30 minutes in a 50/50 vinegar and water solution (again, thanks to yall!) before rubbing it down with a very fine chunk of steel wool. I then seasoned it twice. Even still, I still wonder if I can get it any better. This is what it looks like now. Any thoughts?
