I need to make a statement! MC gave us the greatest Christmas song of our generation, shes the best selling female artist in history AND possesses the legendary voice that made her one of the most successful singer/songwriters ever - on a personal lamb note she has inspired me through difficult times and renewed my faith through the gift of music. So, what is it about our media-fixated culture that makes us find joy in kicking when others are down already? Especially when its a successful person - namely artists. Shes not my best friend or a family member (although in my mind we are lol) but at the end of the day she is a human being with good moments and more challenging ones. She is going through a very public divorce, custody battles, Im sure dealing with a broken heart after what her man did, raising twins and maintaining a major music career while in the public eye... She has proven herself for decades but one less than jaw dropping moment and thats it .. youre reduced to absolutely nothing, even worse ... A media joke! They make a viral YouTube sensation with an acapella version of your worst performance. It represents our culture in many ways if you ask me.
