I need to share this from the race I did on saturday. This could choke a few of you up, cus it did me. There was a Vietnam Veteran that participated in the race, he did it in a wheelchair. After all the runners came in and the awards were given out, they made an annoucment saying he was still on the course and the ones that could stay to greet him at the finish line. There was between 10 and 12 of us that walked back to where we was and came in with him. After the Vet crossed the finish line the Overall guy winner came over and give his trophy to the Vet he goes you desire this more than I do. The Vet refused at first, but the guy said I have several of these at home, so this one is yours. You should have seen the Vets face and the reaction of the crowd that was still there. It was so touching. Something I will l never ever forget. :-)
