I need to vent. not for the first time, I just finished talking to a tech, and I am completely frustrated. Kelly had his providers email erased when we had our computers cleaned of viruses. it should be simple enough to download the email program, put in the eddress and password, and get his email. so. I asked for help at support. first off, I had trouble with the first place they sent me which they shouldnt have. they arent Microsoft, and we dont have Microsoft. wed go offline permanently before we ever used Microsoft again, and havent for decades-thats another story. so when I asked which button they wanted me to use, the Microsoft icon or the download now button at Microsoft, the techs answer? yes. it went downhill from there. they had sent me to a webpage for Microsoft. I re-iterate that Kelly doesnt have Microsoft for his email (or for anything else). meanwhile the download from Microsoft failed to work. back to the tech. who gave me a 9 step process to download...something, I know it was some email box. it was over my head and I didnt get far with it. step 3, I believe. I then went off on my own and tried to download the providers email program. Kellys paid for this month but they wanted a credit card number. we dont have one so I used the debit. it rejects it. go back to the tech, he sends me a link to Microsofts email again. WE DONT HAVE Microsoft!!! I got up and left the tech hanging. hours ago. he deserved it. and we still dont have email from the provider. is this the first time? hell no, every time I connect with support, no matter who it is, HP, Microsoft, Google, Earthlink, AOL, Connecting Point, etc, I get the same brains for mush techs. its impossible! I get anything, ANYTHING but the help I need. a session with an orangutan would be as useful. more fun, as long as it didnt get frustrated or angry. but just as useless. I am sick and tired of techs who dont know a goddamned thing about walking people through the system they supposedly know so well but prove they either dont know or dont care about the customer. its not that Im rude, I always say please and thank you, but I always get the three stooges in one from these people. I am so fed up.
