I needed some ElZarape soup to soothe my allergy symptoms on Wednesday. I prepared Red to tell the waiter there would be 4 in our party. He executed the proper response like a boss. Then, as the host was showing us to our seat, he blurts out (in his almost too loud voice) This guys really short! The host didnt react. PHEW! We got seated just before Justin joined us from work. I explained what had happened. Here is the conversation that followed: Justin: Red, we dont talk about when people look different. If theyre short, big, or look funny to you, dont talk about it. Thats rude. Red: Okay, okay... Justin: do you really understand, son? This is serious. You cant always say what youre thinking. Red: okaaay. Justin: so, what did you just learn? Red: to dont talk to short people. Both parents trying to maintain seriousness through the laughter. Never a full moment with Red.
