I never knew loosing a parent could be so hard. I miss my dad and yet I feel blessed to have spent 48 & 1/2 years of my life with him (He was overseas when I was born I was nearly two years old before I met him). I can imagine not having my dad around when I was young and still making mistakes in life. Im also blessed that he has been in my daughters life and that unlike myself losing two grandparents at a young she was able to enjoy being loved and spoiled her granddad. I miss him at the oddest times and for the dumbest reasons. Like when I come downstairs in the morning and wonder why he isnt fully dressed and sitting in the kitchen window, or when I almost bought him a robe for Christmas. Clearly Da Lawd has given him a robe by now. My point is this to all fathers young and old... Take time to take your kids out, talk to them, teach them, support them (financially, physically, emotionally, academically and socially) so that your child will have tons of memories of you and will above all feel loved by you!!!! Kids as you age and live your life dont forget about your parents, call them, visit them, or write to them. That way when they laid out in the front of the church looking at the ceiling you dont have to wonder if you did all that you could do or if they knew that you loved them. #thanksdad# #savemeaseatbesideDaLawd#
