I noticed that the midges were biting the fine coated horses - TopicsExpress

I noticed that the midges were biting the fine coated horses already today so Ive started making up with first batch of this years fly repellent. Its brilliant at keeping the flies away, smell good and leaves the coat beautifully shiny. You dont get a build up with it and is use it on me too. Here is the recipe . . . 3 caps of Dettol 1 teaspoon each of . . . citronella oil eucalyptus oil lavender oil teatree oil cedarwood atlas oil Put into a 1 litre spray bottle and top up with water or cold tea. Shake well before spraying and frequently during spraying to keep the oils mixed. (If you have a white coated horse, you might be better using water rather than tea to avoid staining the coat) Ive used this recipe for years and its much cheaper than buying it!
