I noticed that today is August 20....my retirement anniversary date...the date I retired from the County at 54 years of age. Took the dogs out at 0400, made their breakfasts, and to celebrate this day, I decided to go back to bed...not because I wanted to, but because I could. I only slept a few minutes, and was awake again well before sunrise. That tranquil time before daybreak is my favorite time of the morning. Next up...a big breakfast at the diner, because theres no better way to celebrate anything than with a large chunk of scrapple on my plate!
