I now again can get back on face book I had to run a anti virus on my laptop I could not type very well and it took for ever to do something, well I had a great sunday Barb and I went to southern part of WV to see the fall leaf we started by going to where Erica lived for a few years went from there to lewisburgs found a park that I have never heard of Beartown state park the park was possiable by a family do to there son being killed in Vietnam. They had a broad walk that went threw the cliffs and trees and rocks around the park was very interesting to see. I told Barb we will go west that way we would hit a major highway that way I though we would hit I-79 we found a Droop Mtn. State park and battlefield. Found out that was worst engagement for the south doing the civil war in WV. saw the battlefield the fences and where it took place it was something to see from there we ran into a lake called Summit Lake it was a small lake but they were people fishing at the lake Barb said die hard fishermen. We still going west we went to cranberry glades state park stop at there visitors center and saw all the flowers in the glades and how it became the glades from the ice age and how a lot of the flowers and plants that were from the north of us or in Canada are now living there and all the different type of birds and the wildlife lives in the glades from there we checked out there campground and saw they had 33 sites they didnt have any thing there but a fire pitt and a table. they only had a out houses for there restrooms in saying that they were still die hard camper that was staying there. from there we still going west we ran into intersection that we could have went north to Sutton or south back toward lewisburgs I told Barb we will still go west thinking we would hit I 79 we went threw a small town that looked like a ghost town there main street stores were mostly closed it looked it was been like that for some time. I just feel so sorry about it. some time in our past that was a great little town to live and have a small business like mine. You just wonder what is happening to WV small towns. from there we were still going west we ended up in Gauley Bridge. we laughted that going west we never hit any major highways we went up and down large Mtn. and saw a lot of house that had went to the waste side and now were falling down and some time in our past they were nice large and small homes that had been family were living in them in our past I feel it was a great lost of our past. They were times I think where people living how they get to go to the Doctor or even to a town to get food or any thing else for that matter. It also reminder me how Erica took me threw out Kanawha County without hitting any major highways. We went from one end to the other just on back roads that I never knew was there. I have lived here my whole life and never knew those roads were there. It was just like traveling WV where you have never been it was a great day for me. It was most interesting in doing and to see and great time and thing in WV. and the fall leafs. We finally came home on route 60 we started on one side of the river and ended up on the other side went over 300 miles.
