I officiated a high school football game at American Fork tonight. The announcer asked everyone to rise and sing the national anthem. The flag was located at the north end if the field with a light shining on it. To the north and east of the field was the Timpanogas LDS temple with lights shining on it. As I sang the national anthem I couldnt help but be overwhelmed seeing the American flag and the temple and what they represented to me in my life. I am so grateful to be an American with everything I have been blessed with including my religion. This truly is Gods country, the United States of America.
