I often read about or hear unbelievable things and brush them off, - TopicsExpress

I often read about or hear unbelievable things and brush them off, saying dont fool me. But the incident I shall narrate is 100% authentic. I had gone to Dakhineswar on a day when the day was as hot as ever. I was sweating and feeling very uncomfortable. The temple door had closed and we had to wait for two hours. My friends went and made their purchases of flowers. joss sticks, etc and I told them that as I felt so unfit to offer puja to the Goddess I will come some other day. But the breeze and the coolness of the riverside soon made me feel better. The desire to offer puja was paramount in my heart. I told nothing to my 9 friends, but stood by them quietly nursing my desire and distress, because no more flowers were available. I was quiet and kept a silent prayer on my lips. Suddenly some tapped very gently on my shoulder. As I turned back there was a lady with a flower basket, open long hair, wearing a white red border sari. Without a word she handed the flower basket to me. I stood transfixed as I had not expressed my desire to any of my friends. I immediately turned back, but there was no trace of the lady, not even of someone retiring. Later an elderly lady told me, ....Ma dekhe diyeche ! At Dakhineswar the usual practice is to keep the contents of your offering and give something else in the same basket. When I gave my offerings, the man looked at me and kept the basket away. I returned empty handed.
