I often see Muslims claiming that the Quran commands peace and kindness, then watch as they post scripture after scripture of sweet little selective proverbs from the Quran. You know something? Theyre absolutely right. There ARE verses in the Quran that tell Muslims to do good and be kind and so on. But you know what else? These cutesy little scriptures are negated by the brutal, hateful, violence-commanding scriptures that follow. True, there are scriptures that sounds peaceable in the Quran and Hadith, but the hateful ones far outweigh in number. There are over 100 verses that specifically command Muslims to be violent, hateful, and unforgiving to unbelievers. Common sense tells me that a verse on beheading infidels kind of negates a bunch of verses on speaking politely with unbelievers. You know what else this tells me? That the Quran contradicts itself and is open for interpretation. That means also that ISIS is interpreting it just fine, considering they are following at least half of the Quran, albeit, the worse half (trust me its far more than half). This also means that the peaceful Muslims arent following at least half of the Quran. Not such devoted followers if you asked me. What most dont understand is that these nice scriptures were thrown in for good measure, to ensure that the true agenda of Islam can remain hidden under the guise of peace. In this, those Moderate Muslims get ignorant unbelievers to literally judge a book by its cover.
