I passed dozens of hours, maybe 100s, talking to John Gomez on the phone and on Skype about the state-sanctioned abduction of children in Japan. Now John is talking to young Japanese people through TED talks and other means, and trying to build an organization to save children from Japanese state-sanctioned, state-condoned child abduction. This talk happened on Ruis 8th birthday; his fourth consecutive year without ANY communication with his Daddy. I am bereft and desperate. Listen to Johns talk, and tell me, please, what I can do to restore my close relationship with the one person to whom I feel the most love, responsibility and concern for in the world. Its a mere minute individual problem for Rui and for me. But it seems to involve changing a systemically violent and mean spirited world that conspires against children, and against every tender-hearted human being. What can we do to save out children from Japan, hell-bent as it is on their ruin?
