I picked up a 6-7 week old kitten in San Antonio 2 days ago. Lots of different people reported this kitten to care4cats. It was/is terrified, dehydrated and has diarrhoea. After just one night, I noticed it wasnt your normal feral kitten as it was spitting a little bit but not in the way my Taz did. I went to take the dogs for a walk and wrapped it in one of my tops and gave it to Ryan, on my return, the two of them were fast asleep. I then took it and after a couple of hours it felt safe enough to snuggle into me and have a stretch. I would say this kitten has been dumped along with its siblings and possibly mother, what might of become of them we will never know. I cried last night when I saw it give a deep sigh and release just for a moment to be free from fear while it slept and it made me think what kind of a person can bring harm to these precious little things? Still, many days after reading a message from an English woman, (that some of my friends know) that she could tell a charity like care for cats that she dumped kittens in the woods, knowing they would die because they were not hers. Then feeds two kittens since August and let them have kittens and then demands the charity to do something about it. I am lost for words. I am so sickened by what people are able to do, normal looking people, a person who has a child and looks intelligent. What do you say to a woman like this? I have written many messages but sent none, I am so saddened that she doesnt even realise that she murdered these little ones. It makes me mad when people say the Spanish are cruel to animals, its not the nationality, its just people. Some people just think of them as things and not as little souls like they are. This is why I try and help sterilise cats because I know the ones that are born have a slim chance of finding a forever home, a home where they will be safe forever. Just so people know that the cat that has the babies at my house is not my cat , it is another abandoned cat that was left at my house for one night only. She was brought to my house at 9pm and due to go to the vet at 10am to be sterilised but instead she gave birth. No one knew how far gone she was and this is why I have her and her babies but I will try my hardest to find a home for these little ones for life, other kittens are not so lucky. Please help care4cats to help the abandoned cats of Ibiza and if you feed them get them sterilised.
