I planted kitty grass beside my garden for three reasons… it keeps the kitties from munching on my vegetable plants, it is good for them, and they love it. They have been munching on Belizean grass and weeds since we got here so when it was mature enough for me to point the grass patch out to them, I took Tippy first over and she munched away delighted with the familiar sweet tasting grass. When Tippy was finished, I took Scotty over and he mashed his face into it moving head back and forth sucking up all of its essence before he finally settled in to eat the familiar grass from home; he was happy as kitty in catnip patch. Little Bit had to find the little patch of heaven all by herself because I did not have the heart to interrupt Scottys moment of Bliss. Every morning since, when I open the door for their morning romp, Scotty scurries over to his little patch of heaven and begins the ritual of rubbing his face in the grass, eating a little and then throwing up. :) Life with cats!
