I post a lot about fitness, about Beachbody, about shakeology. I know there are some that read these things and roll their eyes and keep scrolling....BUT there are some of you that read, think and become more motivated to make a healthy change. I want to share something that I think may put my passion for these things in perspective.... My grandpa is a very powerful figurehead in our family. He has a strong presence, hes a stubborn PAIN IN THE ASS!!! But he also has one of the biggest hearts around. There have been many times oved the years he pushed me to my breaking point lol! He has pissed me off on multiple occasions, and Im SURE I have him too lol, but he is mu family and I love him. Yesterday I went to see him.....hes in the hospital...suffered a small stroke. That big heart of his is sick. That big powerful man had a hard time feeding himself or even holding a cup bc the stroke left him unable to control his right side. We laughed about it, but it still made me sad. For years I watched him abuse his body....I would make comments, but I didnt push as hard as I could have to help him. I also realized if someone doesnt want to be helped theres nothing you can do. He realizes NOW that he needs to make changes and to take care of himself, but at his age and in his condition it wil definitely be more of a struggle. I will do everything I can to help him though! Share all the info I have to keep him from suffering this again! That is why I share with you all NOW! Our bodies are willing and able to move!!! There are a variety of healthy food choices around us! So much information and resources on things we can do! Fitness and nutrition are NOT JUST ABOUT WEIGHT LOSS! Its about longevity and being around for as many years as you can for your family! Invest in yourself NOW! Toss your excuses out out window! Im sure if my grandpa could go back and take better care of himself....if he could go back and make better choices he would. I hope this message motivated someone....I hope it inspired someone to make the changes necessary to be around for your family for years to come. Is 30 minutes a day really so much of a sacrifice?! Cost-benefit analysis here people!!! Think about it!!!
