I post this story not to offend anyone but for all to consider and evaluate its truthfulness: having in mind the TRUTH of the Word of God. Book of Mormon believers might use the Book as well to see for themselves if they can find in it sufficient support for this story. “WHERE DID GOD COME FROM?” ELOHIM’S STORY By Ed Abraham A long, long time ago, sometime in eternity past, in a far, far away sector of space, there lived a father god and his goddess wives. It was a celestial dominion which this father god inherited from the god who came before him: the god who made him god. The father god was a creative god and he filled his vast sector of space with planets and heavenly bodies. And the father god said: there is a great array of intelligences out here. I will organize them and with my wives give them spirit bodies. They will be my children and through them I will perpetuate the race of the gods. And so it came to pass that Elohim was born. Mother gods raised him along with the billions of spirit children sired by the father god. The time came for Elohim to go down to an earth created for him and his siblings. An earthly father and mother were carefully chosen for him. He will be born from their union and he, as a mortal, will live a life of temptation and sin; of joy and sorrow. After all, that earth was a testing ground: a place where he, a “god in embryo” will be proven if he will obey all the commandments of the father god. He will have to show if he is worthy to earn his godhood. Earth life was not easy. Elohim often times broke the father god’s commandments and sinned. Yet he struggled and continually repented. He did things that were pleasing to the eyes of the father god. Most of all however, he accomplished all the saving and exalting rituals which will qualify him to be a god. He also religiously paid a full tithe to his church. Altogether, he sealed to himself as many wives as he could lay claim in the eternities. Then he died and his spirit rested for a while in a special place reserved for righteous men like him. When the trumpet of resurrection sounded, Elohim rose from the grave. Awaiting him was the father god who commanded that the Book of Elohim’s life be read. Then the father god said: “Well done, my son, come enter and receive your godhood”. And so it came to pass that Elohim became god and was endowed the title: Heavenly Father. He created another earth in this sector of space he inherited from the father god. This earth, he said will be for his seed. And with his celestial wives, he sired many sons from the vast array of intelligences. Among these spirit sons were Jehovah (or Jesus Christ), Lucifer (or Satan), Michael (or Adam), Noah, Moses, Abraham and the rest of this earth’s population: all “gods in embryo who will perpetuate Elohim’s race- the race of the gods. Just a fairy tale or true? This incredible story is true according to the Mormons. Accordingly, it tells the origin of God and the zillions of Gods that were made before him and will be made after him.
