I posted this article for two reasons: first to show how the march toward complete control of the food supply by a small cartel is being furthered through our courts. There is nothing surprising here for most folks who follow and battle in the real food movement. The second reason is to tell another story and explain why AG 21 projection is so dangerous and why it’s important to get your facts straight before fighting. For some time now I have been at odds with a number of folks within the Ohio Coalition Against Agenda 21 who see a big threat to farmers in Northwest Ohio resulting from new stricter regulations proposed by the EPA and the ODNR concerning the use of fertilizers. Up front I want to say that I think that the national EPA needs to go away. It’s an out of control agency that is in fact a vehicle for Agenda 21 and less a protector of the environment. But as it’s been said before, even a broken clock is right twice a day and so too in what I am about to describe. The reason the EPA and ODNR is coming down so hard on fertilizer use is because farmers in the NW Ohio region are applying tremendous amounts of fertilizer to their soil to get a higher yield on their planting. But what are they planting; primarily corn and soybean, specifically the variant sold by Monsanto. One of the big problems with the GMO variant is that in order for yields to be maintained a farmer must apply sizable amounts of fertilizer to the ground. With continued use of these GMO variants the requirement to use more fertilizer increases each season because the soil become depleted of the natural enzymes, microbes and other trace mineral needed to produce a good crop. So after all these years of GMO use large amounts of fertilizer are being leeched into the water table and have found its way into Lake Erie resulting in a huge threat to this fresh water supply shared by three US states and the country of Canada. But there is another fact contributing to this use and it results from the high price of corn farmers are currently enjoying because of the federal mandated use of ethanol in gasoline (another AG21 program). While it can be said that if ethanol was not mandated some farmers would still use the GMO, however the glaring fact is that its use is correlated to the federal mandate. And to make matters even worst, while corn prices are reaching record highs, corn is still being subsidized by Congress, a practice that has been around since the late 60s. So back to the argument. Today we have a very concerned group of activists from the Ohio Coalition Against Agenda 21 who see the erosion of private property rights, (rightly so) and have, in my opinion projected this loss to these farmers in NW Ohio. I agree that if the EPA and ODNR change the regulations, which is currently being flushed out in the General Assembly at this time, all farmers across Ohio will suffer because the proposed rules would require a license to apply fertilizer of any type, that being synthetic or natural, meaning manure. So every small and mid-size farm would have to jump throw regulatory hoops, attend classes, get a license and be open to federal and state inspections if this goes through. This is a huge problem and will hurt the small and mid-size farmers, who will face one more obstacle that is causing these farms to close monthly across Ohio. But one group won’t; the large farmers. These are the same farmers that are polluting the water table and soil; the same ones using GMO; and the same ones who are getting USDA subsidies to plant corn. Not to mention the same ones who contribute heavily to the political class. As I see it, the need to regulate these farms is necessary, but not the entire state. Nevertheless this wouldn’t need to happen if the farms in NW Ohio self-regulated themselves and did the right thing and acted as good stewards of the land. But we can’t have it both ways; you can’t have private property rights and at the same time pollute the common property, which is the adjoining soil and the water table. The scary aspect about this issue, is by giving support to these polluting farmers, these folks in the Ohio Coalition Against Agenda 21 are actually helping further a major component of Agenda 21, which is complete control of the world’s food production by a small cartel. The same cartel that makes this GMO crap. You see this whole granola-like organic food movement the greenies advance is meant to fail. It was meant to fail because it is a program run completely by the Federal Government, and who controls the USDA, FDA, and EPA? The corporations! It’s madness. The fox is in the hen house. Oh sure there are a few greenies in these agencies, but for the most part they are all corporate lackeys. And understand this, it’s not party dependent; both of the so-called parties are working to the same end, corporate food consolidation and control. So to the folks in the Ohio Coalition Against Agenda 21, if you want to do the right thing you need to start protesting the farmers who are polluting the Maumee River and Lake Erie, because these are the real Agenda 21 spreaders.
