I pray because I can’t help myself. … I pray because the need - TopicsExpress

I pray because I can’t help myself. … I pray because the need flows out of me all the time, waking and sleeping. It doesn’t change God. It changes me.” C. S. Lewis. I love the last line. I know that God hears and answers prayers. I know that when I pray to seek His will, I am changed for the better. Sometimes that change is uncomfortable and hurts...but how can I expect growth to always be a painless process? And when the pain seems to much to bear, I pray again for Gods grace and strength and I find it through prayer.
