I previously did a little set of shots of kids holding up hand-written signs giving tips for how to improve your own photos. I then used that card for another shoot without copying the pictures off before formatting it. Irony? So...Tip of The Day...ALWAYS backup your photos at least once from a shoot as soon as possible after the fact. For something big like a wedding I use multiple 4GB cards and sometimes 8GB but I prefer the smaller capacity for safety. In general after I get home from a shoot I copy the photos to my laptop and also to an external hard drive before formatting the card. Space is cheap, most photos are one-off moments in time which cannot be recreated.
