I promise not to reprint the entire book on Facebook but I couldnt help but reprinting the dedication here: Dedication The idea for this book originated years ago as a self-promotion tactic. Honestly, I wanted to go on a book tour without having to write a book. But through the process of a half-dozen false starts, I discovered something entirely unexpected: there was a book inside of me that actually needed to see the light of day. I call this book an unauthorized autobiography because it explores some things that are so ingrained in me and natural to who I am that I might not have delved into them if left entirely to my own devices. Yes, I did have help writing this from my long-time colleague and co-author Thom O’Leary, who kept me on track. But this book is not dedicated to him, because there is someone who helped me even more: my wife Laura. Writing this book was an interesting process, but Laura was there when I lived it. You’ll read about me on my darkest days and when I was standing on top of a mountain, both literally and figuratively, and she stood behind me in every situation. (Usually, she stood behind me so she’d have more leverage to push….) Without her, there would be no Scott, no SCOTTeVEST, no book and no joy from raising our family of poodles: Chloe, Margaux and Susie, or their sisters Lucy and Kelly who are already in another life. So this book is dedicated to Laura, who put her whole confidence in me while I made my dreams reality. This book is dedicated to my wife who told me sincerely that I could do whatever I wanted to do in life, even if that meant leaving behind my prosperous law career to dedicate myself to becoming a world-famous yoga instructor. It was a stretch - pun intended - but she meant it. I had never received that level of support from anyone in my life, and it means more to me than she could ever know. She works tirelessly for SCOTTeVEST and the Scott behind it (that’s me) for 12 hours a day to make sure every order gets processed, and the world of pockets keeps turning.
