I published a blog post on women and self-esteem and got this wonderful, wise comment from Clive Maloney in England. I only wish I had said it! I recognise this is a particular issue for women but it applies for us men too. I was brought up to be humble and have humility. What I never realised is that humility is not thinking less of yourself, its thinking of yourself less. I think it was C S Lewis that said that. Over the years Ive come to recognise that by not claiming my own achievements I have held back my career and worn away my self-worth. This is something I have worked on a lot over the last few years.
