I purchased an X5 with a couple of packages including the M package. Its not a cheap car. Within a week after purchasing, the brakes started to squeal pretty bad. I took the car in and they said that it was brake dust and should go away. Its been over a year and the car has been serviced 3 times. All 3 times I told them that the brakes were getting worse. I was finally told by a service manager that this is how newer BMWs are regarding the brakes and there isnt anything they can do about it. He said that its hit or miss regarding the brakes on new vehicles. I was told that I have to live with it until I need new brakes. Pathetic. I should have purchased the Audi. Ill be sure to post this on many boards including competitor websites so people can be aware what they are getting and how they are treated by BMW.
