I rate #SainaNehwal as one of the best athletes India has ever produced and arguably the best female athlete ever. Her trophies and awards speak volumes about her grit, determination and talent as a sportsperson but it is her grace that distinguishes her from her contemporaries. A sportsman of Saina’s stature must not crib about not being recommended for Padma Bhushan award. Awards are generally conferred upon. I am sure she’ll be getting all the laurels that she rightfully deserves. I do not deny the fact that she is hurt but it is very unbecoming of a professional sportsperson to make her angst public. Keep calm, you are our Padma Bhushan already.
