I re-read Bill Bowens post again that was putting down WT Victims Memorial day, and I noticed something I had not before. He seems to think that the participants are doing it to help JW. While it may be true that many want to help JW, it is obvious that was not the purpose. The purpose of this memorial was to help the ex-JW that are suffering. I go to funerals knowing I am not going to help the person that died. It helps me to think of my lost one. it helps me to express myself about my lost one. I receive comfort from those that are there. It helps me if I can comfort those that have lost ones. Bills post is as if he thinks it is all about current JW, and it is not. Perhaps all of Bills years of telling people they are not helping their dead loved ones with flowers is just shining through with his remarks. Perhaps he has some guilt for the times he has served on a Judicial Committee and murdered ones by DF individuals. Being guilty of manslaughter by sitting on Judicial Committees is just something that every elder has to live with the rest of their life. It is my hope that none will try to ease their pain and guilt by blaming the victims. American Indians have the custom of building a small house, about the size of a large dog house, directly above their graves. Then they come and place whatever the favorite dish was of their loved one inside of this little house. An American Indian was once ridiculed by a white person. The white person told the Indian, You dumb ole Indian, when are your dead ancestor coming back to eat that food you leave there for him. The Indians quick reply was, The same time yours comes to smell those flowers you left.
