I read these things and feel compelled to say something as it amazes me how much mis- information is out there when it comes to dieting and weight gain and loss...this should not be seen as free information as it may seem to some but me coming to the rescue so to speak and pointing out that this link is why people are confused about what they are doing to lose weight amongst other methods of dieting and training. People need to have things explained in clear and simple terms so they can apply whats being explained to themselves without having to get someone to translate whats being said before they can understand it....heres a simple break down ...................................................................... (1)Losing weight requires a reduction in the amount of food you eat over all whist increasing your physical activities plain and simple. (2) The foods you eat should be eaten in amounts that provide energy- carbohydrates ,, insulation- fats ,, and building blocks,, regeneration and body repair-protein. (3) The amounts should be measured in balance with your bodyweight if you are trying to lose weight and reducing calories,, measure them in line with the weight you want to get to,, that reduction can be done gradually or at once if you are already training and maintaining a training life style. if anything needs real research it is into what each food does for the body (ie carbs,, fats , protein and vegetables). Food that are not digested and used by the body will convert to fat but if eaten in the correct digestible amounts you will not gain excessive fat weight and not need to cut out complex carbohydrates but eat less per sitting. It is different when just targeting body fat but here i am just taking about eating for weight reduction. Vegetables both leafy and starchy have important roles to play in the body, supplying it with natural vitamins and minerals,,which regulate and help the body to break down the carbohydrates and protein eaten. They also provide the body with fibre which helps with healthy bowel movements and clears out any waste products in the body so each food has an individual role to play in maintaining the healthy function of the body... This is simply put and losing weight will become so much easier when this approach is understood and applied to dieting practice.
